As I shared in part #1 of this WE CreateAthon Blog post, my 24 hours nonstop pro bono blitz experience was amazing! Working with the Tualatin Riverkeepers (TRK), a nonprofit dedicated to keeping the Tualatin River watershed clean through advocacy and volunteer work, was so rewarding. After completing the project, on Monday, Oct. 7, we met with our clients, Margot Fervia-Neamtzu and Jeff Douglas, to present the final deliverables: logos, color palette, website.
Needless to say we were thrilled with their feedback:
“I love everything — the colors, the logo and the way it all looks together.” Margot Fervia-Neamtzu, TRK Staff
“I can’t believe that a company like Waggener Edstrom would donate time to an organization like ours. We are so thankful.” Jeff Douglas, TRK Board Member
I had tons of fun during the CreateAthon and learned five key lessons during this experience:
It was an honor to be part of a group of 18 energetic employees that delivered marketing, communications and PR projects for four nonprofit organizations within 24-hours; a terrific example of the power of partnerships. With that, I hope to do it all again next year!
